The Veterans Greenhouse is located on the Lyons Campus of the VANJ. We are uniquely operated by formerly homeless Veterans and we grow locally in Basking Ridge. We sell to both retail and wholesale clients in Somerset Hills and neighboring counties. Our Business Manager, Noel Dunn, is an Army and Vietnam Combat Veteran who joined our team in 2014.
We invite you to visit the Veterans Greenhouse and pick-up something special for your home or garden. We offer a variety of seasonal plants, and upon request floral arrangements, including poinsettias, chrysanthemums, azaleas, cyclamens, gloxinias, tulips and other flowering plants. We also celebrate the holiday season by selling choice Douglas and Frazier Firs, decorative wreaths and other festive ornaments.
Noel Dunn will be leading our second annual Greenhouse Youth Camp in the summer of 2016. Students will learn the fundamentals of growing plants and vegetables by working side-by-side with our Veterans. Camp registration will being in the spring. If you are interested in organic, farm–to-table produce, the Veterans Greenhouse offers kale, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, squash and zucchini from our garden during the summer. Our assortment herbs, specialty hot peppers and hot sauces are very popular with our local customers.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to join our mailing list and receive exclusive notifications and discounts. We hope that we can count on your ongoing support and commitment to helping Veterans. We are currently fundraising to build a second greenhouse.
Our mission is to employ previously homeless Veterans, and this sets us apart from any other competitive greenhouse in the area. We are a social enterprise of MTI Integrated Business Development, Inc.
