MAVERIC Driving Range
The MAVERIC Golf Driving Range is a natural grass facility located on the Lyons Campus of the VANJ. It is set on 12 acres of property and it is minutes away from Interstate 78 and Route 287. We are a competitive business that trains and employs formerly homeless Veterans as landscapers and laborers. Our Business Manager, Glenn Hockman, is an Army Veteran who has managed the Driving Range since 2008.
We are open seasonally from March through November (weather permitting). Please visit us on weekdays from 10 a.m. until dusk, and on weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. until dusk. We offer a 46,000 square-foot golf tee line, synthetic putting green, on-site PGA professional, and summer golf camps for kids, adults and seniors.
Also, the Coakley-Russo Memorial Golf Course of Bernards Township is within close walking distance of us. Veterans receive discounts on select services at the Driving Range. We are currently fundraising to build a miniature golf course.
Please contact us if you would like to rent our facility for a private event, receive private lessons from our PGA instructor, Bill Spicer, or sign-up for one of our camps. We will be hosting summer golf camps for kids, adults and seniors in the summer of 2016. Camp registration will begin in the spring.
Our mission is to employ previously homeless Veterans, and this sets us apart from any other competitive golf facility in the area. We are a social enterprise of MTI Integrated Business Development, Inc.
